Downgrade to 10.44 after upgrade to 11.28. Possible?

Hello guys,

It seems that upgrade to 11.xx versions was a mistake - a lot of folks are complaining of BT connectivity issues and battery drain (me included). I`d like to go back to version 10.44 as life was good back then and everything was working well. Does anyone know how downgrade from one official version to another could be done, since the approach to downgrade from Alpha or Beta does not work?

It should work, since one user described that he to get rid of these exact problems first downgraded to 10.44 then up to 11.28 and the problem was gone. Don't remember which of the Feix7 alike forums though.

Did you try and it didn't work when using the procedure described in the Alpha packages??

Now I see it! I`d try it, but it seems it will reset the watch to factory settings. Then I`ll need to wait 3 weeks to get HRV status. Is there a way to backup/retain this?

Not as far as I know. And yes, downgrading will always reset the Garmin to factory default b/o downward compatibility of the config files is not guaranteed.

But why wouldn't you reach out for support about just reinstalling 11.28? That help quite some users as far as I read.

I think reinstalling the current firmware is not possible because the watch reports that the current firmware is up to date and that a newer one is not available. I also had to downgrade to 10.44 and upload alpha 10.44 because otherwise I don't know how to get older firmware.

Just reach out to garmin support, they have a way of reinstalling the current firmware.
