Continually loading maps on Garmin Fenix 7X

This morning when I woke up, I saw my Garmin Fenix 7X Solar Sapphire was loading maps and then gets stuck at "Loading Map 34" and then restarts.

I have tried hard restarting the watch and I have done a reset but when I start up the watch the issue just reappears and there seems to be no way of stopping this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. Were you able to solve the problem somehow? I have the same problem, those with map number 12.

Hi, Not sure what I did to get it fixed but I restarted the watch multiple times via the hard reboot without doing a factory reset. The last actions I took before it somehow fixed itself was to switch it off and then I left it for about an hour and then without starting it up I plugged it into the charger and not sure how long after that I checked again but the watch seemed to be back to normal operation. If I remember correctly when I plugged the charger in and it started up it did run the map installations again but somehow seemed to get past the Map34 issue and booted up.

I have not had any issues since then. Hope this somehow helps but maybe try the exact steps and let me know if it were able to sort out your problem.

Attempts to hard reset using the buttons did not bring any result. Connecting to the computer with the START button pressed helped me. The computer detected the watch, which allowed me to remove the map that was causing the problem. Thank you for your answer. Regards :)

Can you please tell me more about where the map data is located?

Maps are .img files im the "GARMIN" folder of your watch
