GarminPay transit features not available?

Preparing for an upcoming East Asia trip, I noticed that the listed Garmin Pay features differ quite a lot by where I look.

Suica (スイカ)

一卡通 (iPASS) / 悠遊卡 (Easycard)

中国银联 (UnionPay)

www.garmin.com.cn/.../

交通卡 ("transit card")

www.garmin.com.cn/.../

My up-to-date Fenix 7 currently doesn't offer any of them.

So what additional requirements are there to actually use these nifty public transportation features?

I do not understand.
I believe that it depends on the bank card issuer(Visa, Maestro, Mastercard) if it's supported on the seller, ticketing company. In the end the NFC in Garmin device sends the card enrolled in GarminPay data to the reader NFC device

This isn't a card issuer issue. I've successfully added Visa and Master cards to GarminPay before so I know how to deal with the Garmin Connect app.

For example:

1) Garmin provides a nice instruction manual for Suica . However the required menu entry is not visible in the app.

2) According to the manual iPASS or Easycard is already available on the watch and only requires optional setup for charging. The menu entry is however missing on the watch.

There is a hint in some old thread that these features are only available in the APAC firmware builds but not the global ones (where they would be primarily used). Maybe contact one of the Garmin employees here in the forum to confirm, they should have a internal knowledge base or something.
