No. You have to use the option in the save workout screen.
Mittlerweile findet man die Erholungsherzfrequenz in GC Mobile in der jeweiligen Aktivität bei den erweiterten Herzfrequenzdaten.

Thanks wow talk about a downgrade of features....
It does display automatically if you wait for the required amount of time (2 minutes) before saving the activity. It'd be great if recovery HR were saved somewhere, though.
Hm, no. This automatic Recovery HR was removed a long time ago. Already when I was still on F6X. Now you have to use the option in the save workout screen. If you don't push it, it won't show any recovery HR.
What? Maybe I'm misremembering something.

It’s not actually removed IIRC. You have to scroll down to see it when in the save menu.

Correct
Not correct, it's about the automatic recovery heart rate, you are talking about a manual trigger.

However, you do not need to initialize the function to have the Recovery HR measured. If you hit the option later, the finished measurement will be there.
The Recovery HR value is also automatically being stored to the FIT file, and can be viewed with external tools or even with the DevTools of a browser (see an example below), when on the activity page. Unfortunately Garmin Connect does not display it, although it would be really useful, and trivial for Garmin to implement.
Interesting, odd Garmin doesn't do anything with it.
