Navigation on screen prompt

I have brought a fenix 7 solar, and can't quite work out how to have the next turn prompt on the navigation map. On the fenix 6 it used to vibrate on on wrist and tell me the next turning point is when following a course I have downloaded. Hopefully i have explained this right.

I haven't noticed any differences in how the navigation works between Fenix 6 and Fenix 7. When you upload a course from Garmin Connect, there is an option whether to include turn-by-turn directions with the course. Make sure that that option is checked.

Hi thanks I normally use an app called footpath then share it to connect as a gpx. Where do you check to see the turn by turn option?

Die Abbiegehinweise sind nut in FIT Dateien enthalten, nicht in gpx.

Einfachen den gpx ins Garmin Connect hochladen und an von dort an die Uhr senden.

Dann ist es automatisch zur FIT Datei bei der Uhr angekommen und Abbiegehinweise funktionieren.

When you open a course in Garmin Connect app (or website) and look at the details, there is "Turn Notifications" option.

I know that when I sync courses from Strava this option is turned on by default but perhaps that is different for the Footpath app.

I submitted a request to disable that due to how counterproductive it is on a bike! Though a toggle was the intention, I was pretty excited to see no more text popups on my last route after the update. I suppose it is a bug then because I have turn prompts on, but it only vibrates and beeps and goes to the map screen (which is precisely what I want). Even after months of using a Fenix 7 intensely, I find the configuration confusing though, still. So perhaps there is now a toggle?

Specifically, I mean that when moving at speed a notification to look at the map is ace. Text popups just fully get in the way of that. But I also noticed I could not "enable" text prompts on a walk either so... Any ideas if this is a bug or if I am missing a toggle? I have turn alerts, but, not "turn notifications" in my settings now. Just curious, like to know all the options..

You're telling me that we don't have turn notifications for cycling activities on Fenix 7 because of your request?
