Fenix 7x says software version 8.22 but I am unable to update to the latest version, garmin express and connect says that there are no updates for my watch. I can't download any apps on garmin IQ.

You already have the latest version 10.43 as shown on your screenshot.

Try shutting down and restarting the watch.

Compared to a mate of mine her fenix shows that both under the software and host, I'm guessing that's the source of my troubles. Restarting it or leaving it plugged in a charger overnight seem to do nothing to let it update. I'm really stumped. 

I wish that was the case.. But in both the watch and the app itself it just shows no update available. I've tried uninstalling the app and resetting the watch but unless there's a way to roll back the software version it'll just give me the same thing once everything is sycronized. 

have you tried manually installing one of the alpha's?

That might kick in the update to 10.43 after you updated to an alpha version above 8.24

Hello, I have the same problem on my marq watch.

I'm not too sure how to update the alpha, I copied the files into the garmin primary as well as the other one but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there something I missed out? 

That is the exact same problem I have, only thing I don't remember the update failing. Sounds like the solution isn't something there is within our means.. 

it should prompt you there's an update available as soon as you disconnect your watch fro your computer, if it didn't do that, I think you will need to reach out to Garmin support or return your watch and ask for a replacement, looks like it's proper broken.
