Hi,
Does anyone know how to turn on the altimeter during the expedition mode?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to turn on the altimeter during the expedition mode?
I have my back button Hot Key set to Watch Face
BTW, I did not mean the default functionality of the Back button - that indeed does not work, even at Instinct 2. I meant explicitly assigning another dedicated hot key for the watchface option.
And there is yet another option, at least at Instinct 2 - you can add the altimeter to the Controls menu, and call it from there. Not sure whether it is the same at F7, but on Instict 2, you can call the Controls by long-pressing the Light button.

Yep, that's how I have the f7 setup.

Yes, I can add the Altimeter to the controls menu and am able to access the controls during Expedition mode, but still get a popup to tell me to pause the Expedition mode to access the altimeter.
I do not think it is off in the Expedition mode. At least it is not the case with my Instinct 2
I looked a little closer on the I2. Yes you can access the ABC during an Expedition, but it appears that the sensors are actually off. I just looked my I2 ABC screen while running an Expedition and it appears that the data to the screen is not being updated. e.g. the compass values are stuck.

I tested it myself too, already before my original post, to avoid posting nonsense. And although it indeed looked stuck on the first sight, the values change, when you scroll through the ABC screens. I went on the terrace on the top floor of my house, waited for the GPS lock, started the Expedition activity, then went to the ABC screen, went two floors down - the altitude indeed did not change at first, but when I scrolled there and back (or went to the main screen and back), the updated altitude appeared on the display. I did not play with it much more, so it is also possible it was just a delay, and the value would update even without the scrolling.
