Trying to understand the “next fork”

So I added the next fork data field but have only run 1 course with it so far. I do a lot of trail running through mountain bike/multiuse trails, so there are PLENTY of forks. It seemed to indeed show the next fork coming up, but it wasn’t the one I was to turn on or anything…

im not entirely sure I understand the value of just showing the name of the next fork up ahead vs the next fork you turn/stay on?

what value is “TRAIL XYZ” when I’m not turning on to it, vs “TRAIL ABC” up ahead which I do need to turn on?

i sometimes have forks with 2 options, and other times with as many as 5 works. So the arrows/glancing at the map can be a bit disorienting, but seeing the name of the fork I need to take sounds like an awesome addition.

so I just don’t get why it’s also naming random forks up ahead that  mean nothing to me and I can’t think how they would be useful ?
