not an issue here with iPhone XS. Have you tried closing down the Connect app on your iPhone and then opening it again? I usually need to do this after setting my XS on Airplane mode, so when I get it out of this mode and reconnected again to the network, my Fenix is still unable to connect to the app, so shutting the app down and opening again solves my issue.
Hope this helps
Thanks. Tried that and almost everything on the Garmin website including a hard reset. It all started after the software updated automatically.
Keep getting the message pairing failed and can’t even get the six digit pairing code after I did a hard reset.
I am sorry there is an issue. I hope these steps help.
Please fully review the following Support Center article:
- Garmin Connect App: Pairing Failed Message When Adding a Device
If you still receive pairing failed, please reach out to Outdoor Product Support in your region.
Delete your watch from Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, delete from Garmin Connect and then pair again.
It is an issue which have this simple solution.
thanks Adam. I’ve tried all these steps and even went as far as doing a reset as advised on Garmin website. Unfortunately none of this has helped. It was working fine until the auto software update.
Half year ago I had the same issue. It was impossible to pair them. I tried to everything but finally I had to factory reset the iPhone(!) to be able to reconnect.
You can try resetting the Network Settings on your iPhone to clear any Bluetooth ‘issues’ - you just need to reapply the password for any WiFi settings and if you have a name for your iPhone 12 then you’ll need to reapply it. Also if you use VPNs or anything that has its own DNS you’ll need to reapply those. It doesn’t wipe out any data.
Thanks. I tried using a different iPhone but that didn’t work. I finally went to a store today and hopefully they will replace it.
Hi, what was the solution?
Did you get it to connect? I'm having the same issue
