Indoor Track - Pace but No Distance

Using a 7X Sapphire Solar.

When doing the indoor track this morning, I chose the "Indoor Track" activity and my pace started dynamically updating after I started. The pace was probably correct and the timer was incrementing as normal.

There was, however no distance at all. And after a few moments it asked me if I wanted to cancel / battery save.

I had been moving the entire time. How can I determine why the indoor track function is not actually tracking my... use of the indoor track.... and resolve?

Had you actually pressed start to record the activity on the watch?

Fair play, and as much as I would like to say confidently "Yes", I cant remember if I did or not. I've not used this feature before, so Ill try it again on wednesday and circle back.

Could just be an oversight / user error as I missed a step this morning.

Are you sure the timer was incrementing? If it was, then it either means:

- you did press Start and there's a bug with distance

- you didn't press Start and there's a bug with the timer

As philipshambrook pointed out, if the watch asked you to cancel / battery save, that def suggests you didn't press Start.

So if you can reproduce the part where the timer was increasing without actually starting the activity, that would def be a bug.
