Fenix 7 quietly adds Hunt activity

I'm not sure when it happened, but it looks like Fenix 7 now has the Hunt activity that was introduced on Tactix 7 earlier this year. I did not see it on any change logs or anything, so it flew under my radar for some amount of time... days? montths? I'm not sure. I just stumbled upon it today when I was going through my Add Activities menu.

I'm running a Beta firmware, so maybe it is exclusive to that, but I don't see it in the beta changelog which leads me to believe it existed on the latest public firmware as well.

I've had it a while I think it came in the major Q3 release, but I'm not absolutely sure... Fish was added too at the same time I think.

Hunt datafield is great in the hiking sports profile for me I've found, I like the sunrise sunset slider...

Is that for hunting or for being hunted?

Is this available on the 6X? I was going to copy hiking to make a hunting activity. Is there a site that describes all the activities and their settings? Is the best way to setup on the watch or can you do this on the webportal or phone? thx!

If you connect your watch to your computer and look in the "Apps" tile on the front page for your 6x, you will see all the installed and available Apps.

It's been on my Fenix 7X since day one.

Except today I noticed since a recent update, you need a paid subscription to use the "back to start" feature!! BS!!

This was a standard included feature when I brought the watch from day one.

That's a bug. They aren't really intending to make you buy an Outdoor Maps+ subscription to use the Back To Start function. A glitch is causing it to think you need an OM+ map layer that you don't have, which is then prompting you to buy an OM+ subscription because you don't have the layer. But that shouldn't happen. Have you reported the glitch to Garmin?
