Garmin PLEASE let people to set pool length to less than 14 meters.
I know that there are some people here who are bragging that for experience swimmers less than 14m is too short to reliably detect laps. This might be true for "pro" swimmers, but for regular people who do not consider swimming as their main activity (lots of bikers and runners out there) and want to log (as would those bragging ppl say) "splashing" in a local swimming pool this is a necessity. I tried setting the pool length on my watch to 14m (min) and swam in a pool in my building (12m). It just works! Superb reliably counting turns/laps for me, but just stupidly counting more distance because of the incorrect pool length setting.
I'm pretty sure that there are more people like me (occasional swimmers) rather than pro swimmers here, so why would you impose unnecessary limitations for us? Pro swimmers would not swim in such small pools anyway.
You could put a big disclaimer that it might not be accurate if pool length is set to less than 14m, but PLEASE let us to decide if we want that risk of inaccurate reading!
