I have fenix 7x and since 9.XX firmware and on there are constant bluetooth disconnections to my earphones. I have tested several earphones, even speakers and it disconnects all the time. Is there anything I can do?

oh man I had this same issue consistently with my Fenix 6 Pro. I was hoping the 7 would address the Bluetooth connectivity issues. What I dont understand is why cant Garmin seem to fix this issue. Bluetooth…
I've tried a couple of different earphones, which work just fine with my phone. The problem has occurred since version 9.13 and it doesn't fix even with the latest firmware (10.33). It goes like that:
Earphones connect just fine with watch and they work for about 15-20 minutes. After that they disconnect and music pauses. When you press play, you have to connect the earphones again. They will connect, but will disconnect just after 2 minutes or so and will keep on disconnecting every 2 or 3 minutes.
I rolled back to version 7.35 the other day and the problem got fixed, but i don't want to lose the new features of the latest firmware
I had similar issue. What helped to me is changing wrist. Now during activity I wear watch on my right wrist. I still notice disconnecting but not that often as earlier.
I was hoping that 10.33 would fix it... but I guess we still have to wait for it.

Bluetooth is a ubiquitous feature and I am sure they are buying the chip or board from a 3rd party. My 7 arrives today so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

- I Am Having Bluetooth Headphone Connection Issues With My Watch
I had this happen two times (in regards of a working BT audio device suddenly no longer works after an update).
Once on my 6X and once on my 7X. In both cases removing the pairing from the watch and pairing again worked. In case of the 7x I had to do it a few times in a row until it finally worked. No promise here but I'd try 3-4 times to pair it again before giving up.
There is another issue with certain devices which is like "it works for x minutes" (sometimes x=5 min; sometimes even an hour) and then suddenly music starts to stutter and then it disconnects and never recovers from that state without fiddling around. This one can't be solved with trying to pair the device again. It just happens and to add: it took me quite some money to finally get a pair of earbuds that works quite stable now (Soundcore X10 in case you're interested).
Hi Chris,
I am experiencing the same on my Tactix 7 both with Bose Soundsport and both my girlfriend's Jaybrid X4 headphone. It disconnect after aprox. 4-6 minutes of continous playing. However if I change songs more often it remain connected. I hope this detail help your colleagues.
I have the same with with my F7SS and Airpord Pro 2nd gen. What shoul I do ?
I've had my 7SS for 3 weeks now and I am so happy to say I have not experienced any issues like I did previously with my 6 Pro. I am using the same Jaybird Vista earphones. Connection is fast and I have not experienced any dropouts during my 1+ hour runs.
