Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar - Update to 9.36 and screen freeze bug

Hi all,

Since updating my Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar to software version 9.36, I have noticed an odd occasional glitch. It's happened about three times now where I complete a run, successfully save the activity and then have the device lock up and freeze. The light button still works turning on the back display light but everything else is frozen. I do a soft reset and the issue is resolved.

I have done a complete reset (nuclear option) to see if this banishes the issue. A bit annoying as I have lost learned metrics such as HRV, training status, VO2 max, training recovery etc..... But if the freeze bug is gone, it's a small price tolerate.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this a known problem with a fix on the way?

I have noticed this too. The same model (Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar) and the 'glitch' has been present in 9.33 as well as in 9.36 - after finishing workout screen freeze on a saving message. After several seconds it finish the process and works ok.

I have also noticed a bit anoying freeze effect in the morning. If I try to go to the list of widgets from the watchface screen watch gets unresponsive for a minute or two - then suddenly applies all the button pressed actions queued in the mean time.

I have not tried complete reset as for now, but if you can confirm that it will remove issue you have faced I will consider it as a solution.

Since doing a total reset, I have not experienced the issue. Early days but so far, looking promising.

No more freezing since I first posted this. We've since had another software update though, so perhaps that will capture a fix for you.
