Please add tide and UV widget

Currently the Fenix 7 has a "tide" app...

The issue with this is, I often do long hiking treks and, when I am near the beach, want to check the tide... However being an app I cannot see the tides as you cannot open multiple apps at once. This seems like something that should have a widget for it.

Also there is a good UV index widget in the store - it would be good to have a widget like this built in too. The only UV info in the Garmin weather pages is the current index and a prediction per hour over the next few days would be great. I live in Australia and it can be the deciding factor when planning a hike!

I use the glance from the store for the UV index.. and it's great - don't know why Garmin hasn't implemented something like this.

I stated that I want a widget not an app, since most of the apps activities it doesn't really make sense to have it here IMHO. Also, you can't check it mid activity because of this.

Tide is available under (firmware 9.36):

start --> add --> folder 'others' --> tide

However, some fenix 7s user can't add tide on the watch itself but need to do so via GC on the phone.

If you are using an iPhone, you can check the tide alert app for Australia.

Even with checking widgets mid activity you have to be very careful to open it up fullscreen, because that will stop the recording of your activity.

From my previous experience this is only been when the apps that the widgets open use GPS.. I don't think any of the built-in ones from Garmin have this problem..?

Yes it would be much more useful as a widget, I use an IQ store widget (glance app) to get around the problem...

UV is included for some people within the Garmin weather widget /glance.... But it doesn't work for a lot of people including me here in the UK... We just get a blank part of the screen where it says Air Quality lol.... Totally usless here, so again I would need to choose an IQ widget/ glance that does work as intended to get around the Garmin issue.... Less than ideal, but thank goodness for the devs in the IQ store... : -)

Yep much more useful than just an app.... Garmin listened... hopefully out for public release in Q4 : -)
