If I purchase a Fenix 7 in the EU but will primarily be using it in the US, will I be able to select North American maps as the standard? I’ve seen this question asked regarding 5x models but haven’t seen it posed for the 7. Is it not worth it to buy the EU model because the functionality won’t be as good as the US version? Also, are there any other differences like voltage requirements for charging?
To clarify the point about maps - any Fenix 7/Epix 2/Enduro 2 has free access to the whole set of Garmin Topoactive maps through the Map Manager in Garmin Express. You can't fit all the maps on your device…
Yes, with the 7 you are able to use the Map Manager to select any of the available world wide Topoactive maps and download them to your watch.
I do have a sapphire. But I thought even the non-sapphires could load any map through Map Manager. You just wouldn't have as much space to load multiples.
