What am I missing if I don’t sleep with my watch?

I’m thinking of to buy a Fenix 7. The last Fenix I owned was a 5 and now I have a AW. I did’nt like to sleep with my Fenix 5. But what of the features are am I missing if I not sleep with Fenix 7? Recovery score is important of me for example.
(Sorry for my english)

  • HRV, Training readiness should be missing. Recovery should be impacted.

  • Body battery would be only a guess, no HRV status, lesa data in training readiness, improve recovery time,

  • Are asking about sleep or "sleep" Smiley

Recovery score or training readiness, needs your sleep and HRV data...

  • Fenix 5 didn't have a lot of features that really relied on 24/7 wearing of the watch. I'm actually not really sure it had any. Maybe RHR and daily calorie burn? That's about it, I think.

Fenix 6, and now especially Fenix 7, have a LOT more features that require 24/7 wearing, or those features won't be accurate. Maybe you care about them, or maybe you don't.

    1. Sleep Score
    2. Body Battery
    3. Training readiness
    4. Stamina
    5. HRV Score
    6. Resting Heartrate
    7. Daily calorie burn
    8. Sleep Avg respiration rate
    9. Recovery Time

Those are just the things I can think of, there might be additional Firstbeat metrics that rely (at least somewhat) on information collected during sleep.

Personally I only take off my watch while I'm in the shower, and once a month oir so when I have to charge it. Otherwise it lives on my wrist.

It helps if you configure the sleep settings in a way so the watch won't annoy you / keep you awake. At the very least, have it turn off touch and gesture after bedtime, and go into Do Not Disturb mode. That way you won't be disturbed by phone notifications or the backlight turning on and off throughout the night.

  • Plus Pulse Ox, which most of us keeping off due battery drain and no clue what to do with that info Slight smile
