Incident detection gone

Has anyone else had incident detection settings, emergency contact and assistance gone from your watch? I’d had it all working since I got the watch, but having just tried to trigger assist it now tells me to set it up in Garmin connect, which it is. And I just set it up again yet nothing has synced with my Fenix 7.

I also have no settings for incident detection on the activity settings anymore, but this may be the lack of it working at all..

My contact actually received two alerts despite the watch saying there is nothing configured (no release button to send message etc). They also got the “is okay” follow up.

All my settings remained for safety & tracking, no issues here.

I lost no settings on connect, but it is not possible to trigger the event from the watch as it believes there is nothing set up

Okay, thanks. Looks like I have to do a fun full reset and lose all my configuration then!

I had the same issue and found removing the contact information in GCM, then re-adding solved the issue

Thanks for the information, though I have tried that here, including creating a new contact and rebooting, syncing, to no change

What if you do the following:

Remove contacts from your watch and/or GCM
Sign out from GCM and remove it from your phone
Reboot both the watch and phone
Download GCM to your
Set up contacts for assistance

I’ve gone full reset on all sides, it still tells me to set it up in connect, and the downside is I have of course lost all my settings on the watch in the process (as expected of course).

This is super frustrating now. Next attempt I suppose is to pair with android and see, because I’ve lost all my confit now anyway, may as well keep going
