FENIX 7 TREADMILL ACTIVITY + STRAVA

Hi everyone!

I recorded my first treadmill activity with de Fenix 7, and I have an issue.

When finishing the activity, I had to calibrate the distance because the data wasn't correct. Everything ok here. The problem is that GARMIN sent to STRAVA the initial activity (without the calibration), not the correct one.

Anybody knows how to fix that?

Syncind does nothing.
Last two weeks I had couple occasions to do my workouts on treadmill, after workout I did calibration and only after that I synchronised my watch with Garmin Connect.

It’s a long standing and potentially insoluble problem for all watches using accelerometers for pace estimation on a treadmill…

Pretty certain that you'd have to fix that up manually in Strava. Garmin and Strava connect using the original saved file. You'd see the same if you exported the original file from GC even after you've edited the activity file.

...I could of course be wrong.

You are correct. The distance calibration only affects Garmin Connect, not the source data.

Interesting, Garmin should sync after correction. I have Strava and it's syncing with Garmin but I rarely (almost never) look into Strava.

Result, in Garmin Connect proper distance, in Strava, wrong (originally measured).
It looks that calibration saves second distance in the file wchich Garmin Connect understand and Strava don’t.

I rarely run on a treadmill but I recently did once and calibrated the F7 afterwards. I wonder, how many times does it take to repeat calibration (and does it prompt to calibrate each time you complete a treadmill run?) before the distances match, assuming you use the same treadmill each time?
