Have you configured WLAN on your watch?
I first thought it wasn't working as well, but I had just forgotten to give my watch access to WLAN to download maps.

After that, I could queue map updates and then tell it to update them while charging.

Yes. Upgrade to 9 33 got via WLAN.

I I may be wrong but I think Courseview maps have to be updated with GE. 

Previously, I was able to update these maps from the map manager.

Any ideas? Is it the only one who has a problem with displaying map updates in the map manager? I have tried everything and I have run out of ideas.

You are correct that your installed SkiView (ski resort maps), CourseView (golf course maps), and TopoActive maps can all be updated through your Map Manager through Wi-Fi.

Each map selected will advise if there is an update available. Each map selected to be updated will then show as queued and your watch will ask you to plug it in to charge to start the update. Once plugged in to charge, it will ask you to confirm starting the map update and it will start the update. (I just tested the process with my Fenix 7X Solar and had no issues with our backend pushing the maps.)

Please try the following:

- Hard Reset: hold down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go of the button.

- Remove your Wi-Fi network, re-add it, test a sync through it being successful then try updating your maps again.

If there is no change in behavior at all, see if you can get your watch to update using Garmin Express on your computer. If you also cannot update using Garmin Express through your watch being directly connected to your computer, reset your watch.

- Reset to Defaults through your System > Reset > Reset Default Settings

Do you know how to update the Time Zone Map to Version 29.00 on a Tactix 7 Pro?

Garmin Explore says it's available, but update option #2 (using Garmin Connect on an iPhone) and option #3 (update via Wifi using Map Manager on the watch) will not download it.

The timezone map can arrive from either your Connect Mobile APP or Garmin Express using your computer. It might sometimes only arrive with a new software update. IE: when the Q3 2022 update is released for the Tactix 7 series.

What's dumb is that Garmin Connect says "The following items will be sent to your device when you sync: Software Update /  Time Zone Map, Version 29.00"

And of course that doesn't happen when I sync.

Hi Chris - just to confirm, if there is a map update, when you plug in to charge, we’ll be asked to confirm if we want to update automatically? We don’t need to manually check every so often if there is an update?
