Which Models Come With Maps?

Yes, if you get the Sapphire edition. Otherwise, the topographical maps can be download to the watch for free.

The Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar and the Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar both come with maps preinstalled.  You can check on Garmin's website where it tells which do and which don't. 

Sapphire models of Fenix 7 and Epix 2 have the Topo maps for your region preinstalled, non-sapphire models do not have them preinstalled.

All models support free downloads of Garmin Topo maps for any region through Garmin Express. All models also have ski and golf maps preinstalled. Once installed through Express, a map works the same as if it had been preinstalled.

It's important, too, to note that that Sapphire models have 32gb of storage, like Fenix 6 Pro/Solar/Sapphire. But non-sapphire Fenix 7 and Epix 2 models come with only 16gb of storage. For reference, the Topo map for North America is around 10gb, and can't be split.

All models also support loading third-party compatible maps, which you install by copying the files to the watch, not by using Garmin Express.
