Cannot manually delete 4GB file from the watch

Hi guys,

I've used the watch as a USB stick and copied there a 4 GB file (exactly 4 294 967 295 bytes). It is located in mtp:/fenix 7/Primary/GARMIN/. It appears as a map file in the watches (but it's ISO image). But I am not able to delete the file neither from Linux nor from Windows, it ends up with an error on both systems, regardless the file name and its location (renamed it and moved around to another directory). So I suppose it's because of it's size. Important note, I am able to delete other files without problems (e.g. deleted Golf CourseViews). Any advice how to delete the 4 gig file?

I would reset the watch, will take it back to factory settings

as this is mtp, you have to use gio (eg gio copy, gio remove, ...)

I was able to get to the watch directory in console on Ubuntu, but I cannot do anything, regardless the file and location, see below.

touch small
touch: cannot touch 'small': Operation not supported

 sudo touch small
touch: cannot touch 'small': Permission denied

rm -rf janko.zip 
rm: cannot remove 'janko.zip': Input/output error

sudo rm -rf janko.zip 
rm: cannot remove 'janko.zip': Permission denied

Finally, the factory reset removed everything, including the 4 gig file, thanks all for the help. Based on my experience, I strongly don't recommend using the device as a usb stick.

i also was able ro remove a large file unter linux, was not possible with windows
