tide data is way off

Hi - what am I doing wrong with the Garmin Tide app? I've used the following steps:

1. calibrate alititude

2. mark/save location using GPS on the watch

3. open Tide app (sometimes it engages GPS too, sometimes not, always the same "result"):

Low and high tides are off by hours AND minutes, so it's not a time zone thing either, they are completely different from one another.

Data is off from tide data that every website shows:

tides from garmin are wrong in all devices in some locations. Source of tide information they use is wrong (all garmin tide apps)

Yes, indeed. I've just checked the Vero Beach tides and they are way off

I don't understand how a company like Garmin with its nautical devices and others has wrong tide information in many locations and they don't correct it after more than 5 years since they were informed and they answer that it can't be corrected...

As per your watch picture, you're posting in the wrong forum. Please move it to Fenix 6 series forum. Tides app in Fenix 7 is a build-in app while Tides app in Fenix 6 is still a connect IQ app.

Other than that, when I had it in my Fenix 6 and now in my Fenix 7, they're accurate for my location. There are a lot of complains in the review section in garmin connect iq for the tide app for Fenix 6.

I have both devices and they give the same discrepancy. it's a Garmin problem, not a "which watch is it" problem.

If you put a picture of your Fenix 6 in a Fenix 7 forum, I would think that you posted in the wrong forum and I was just trying to point you to the correct forum. Another reason I pointed you to the Fenix 6 forum is, if I'm not wrong, that the apps are slightly different as well. The issue that we have with both apps is the data source. Apparently is taken the tides from Neptuno. Both apps gets your location from GPS, but the tides data for that location is retrieved from Garmin connect and pass it on to the watch.

and the worrying thing about the matter is that garmin is not going to provide a solution as they answered me via email a few days ago (unfortunate that it has been marking badly for at least 5 years and they do not change the data source or solve it in any way). You even buy a quatix and it will mark the times of the tides wrong...

I've never realised how bad is in some places as the data for my location is good. I don't understand how they don't have the correct data. I will check next week the data in a new location.
