Yeah I definitely haven't renamed them and I'm happy they are in the correct folder. It's got me beat atm.
Maybe just a typo in your answer , "I'm happy they are in the correct folder" but there are two files and they go into two different folders and not the 'correct folder'
The 'gupdate.gsp' file goes into the GARMIN folder
The 'secure_config.gcd' file goes into the RemoteSW folder which is in the GARMIN folder
Yeah sorry minty95 they were definitely place into their respective target folders. I'll have another crack when I get home from work.

I carry one of these little adapters in my backpacking gear: https://www.amazon.com/Charing-Connector-Adapter-Charging-Vivoactive/dp/B094QPM9GZ
Super light weight, no need to carry another proprietary cable, and it allows me use the same USB-C cable for both my phone and watch.
Like you I use an USB C adapter, that way only one cable , but use this adapter ordered from Aliexpress, even cheaper
I really like the right-angle on yours compared to the Amazon adapter that sticks out annoyingly from the back of the watch (in the same way Garmin's stock charging cable does). I'm definitely going to have to get a couple of those now. Thanks for sharing! :-)
But I wanted OTG cable to connect F7 to Android phone. But the adapter didn't work, so I have to run to Internet cafeteria and use PC. Second night on 9.14FW.
Mine does. I was curious if it would show after 3 days?
Nope.
Edit: Three days and three nights and on the fourth day it works.
