Does the solar panel bother you?

Have and love my F6X but tempted to either get a F7X or even a Tactix regular or pro. I like the tactix look a little better and only reason I would get the regular Tactix is if I did not want solar because of the ring. For everyone that has one does it have a reflection or do you just not notice it? I am not sure I will need solar but would be nice to have as I have no issues with my F6X battery life. Thanks in advance.

I bought the F7 solar and it doesnt bother me. I have actually stopped noticing it. I came from the 6X pro.

Though, now that you posted this, I can see the stupid ring LOL

They really should just replace the entire black bezel with solar for maximum capture (could add tick marks, numbers, or whatever else they would otherwise have on the black)

I would check if it is enabled and disable it if it is enabled.. I know it can automatically enable "activities" to show up on your feed. Been with Garmin and have a lot of their products.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Garmin logo is used in production as a poka yoke to help centering the solar panel.

It would be awesome if they did that because it would probably double the solar charging capability - but I'm not sure if that might not be too much solar panel. Even though I did say earlier that I like the look of the solar panel, I think there's still a limit to how big I really want it to be. If it was twice as thick as it is now, then I think it might start getting into "this is too distracting" territory for me, unless they're maybe able to darken the panel to make it less noticeable.

I think I'd prefer if they used that extra real estate to make the screen .1 or .2 inches bigger and keep the solar panel thickness the way it is.

I went from a 5x to a 7 sapphire solar: I like the solar panel :) and the Garmin badge looks really great at the bottom!

Just sent my 7 back.

Mixture of too small (so may get the 7x. Previously had 6x but thought I would go smaller. Nope), but that ring is SO ugly!!

Maybe it's my own personal issue but really did not like it at all.

Not one bit.
