Tactix 7 Pro screen birghtness

Hello;

i have a tactix delta nd i recently upgraded to the Tactix 7 Pro, i did notice that the Delta's screen was brighter than the 7 Pro, hence i wanted to check with the community if that is really the case or did i get a damaged device, or its is just due to the different touch screen features and LED torch. I need to decide if i should return it and get a replacement. Your feedback and advice are really appreciated.

    Had Delta Solar before and gave Tactix 7 AB now, no difference. I use 50% brightness for backlight as battery is no concern and makes the colors look brighter.

    I had the same expirence. So I returned the tactix 7 pro and got an tactix 7 standard instead. But the screen is still not clear as on the delta. I am not sure if the reason is the touchscreen on the tactix 7, or the doomed sapphire on the delta. Or maybe both! I do not think it's anything wrong with your watch and no reason to get an replacement.

    No difference between both.

    left tactix 7 pro / right tactix delta. Both 100%

    I think the deal is the same as for Fenix 7 vs Fenix 6 screen... Each layer you add on top of the MIP screen dampen it a little bit, including the sapphire lens instead of more transparent and less reflective gorilla glass (though possibly this does not apply to the Tactix... Also delta was sapphire, right?)

    Basically... The digitizer layer for the touch function dampens the screen a bit, on the solar model the photovoltaic layer dampens another little bit.

    That's what it is with these models, I guess............

    Well actually a bit of difference is visible in the picture...

    At full resolution you can actually also see the pixels at the edge of the screen (not saying on the delta there are no edges, probably are covered by the hazel)

    This details is visible with naked eye also on my Fenix 6x pro solar... 

    Man do I hate the bloody Garmin solar lens... Really wish I picked the normal 6x pro... Even without titanium and dlc coating I still think I would have liked it better than my current watch (that, full disclosure, I absolutely love except for this detail), not to mention I would have saved some 150 euro or similar Smiley
