As above. When I use RTR on the Fenix 7 for running it has a habit of including stretches of road at various points. Ideally, I'd like to stick to pavements/paths/trails but the route planner seems to have other ideas. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It likely uses the popularity data to create a route on the watch. But in my experience many runners don't have imagination and stick to the main roads even when much better options exist, and the popularity data reflects that. To confirm that I've just looked at my own area. I've a very busy road with 40 mph speed limit nearby. Personally I hate to run along it because it is noisy and polluted, but according to the popularity data it is one of the most popular places to run. Go figure! That's why I never use the automatic routing feature on my Fenix or in Garmin Connect.
Go to Run, Run Settings, Routing, Popularity Routing (select Off). Then go to Avoidances, Unpaved Roads (select off). That she,d increase the options when planning your round trip courses provided the options are there.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Thanks for your reply - I'll see what happens if I turn popularity routing off.
