Tactix 7 pro AB: Even with automobile option selected, how to disable straight line navigation and use road navigation instead?

Tactix 7 pro AB: How to disable straight line navigation and use road navigation instead? Even if I select Automobile in the Routing menu, it keeps going to the straight line navigation and does not allow to use my Tactix 7 Pro AB as an automobile navigation device! Please HELP!!!

Fenix is the same, you need to install a routable map for automotive like City Navigator.

There are open source options available out there, the Topo maps will not route automotive and you end up seeing straight line navigation.

As mentioned before, the TA maps are not made for automobile or motorcycle routing using streets, they only calculate a direct line routing instead (this is byGarmin design). So it is not an issue of the device nor theTA map. You have to use/install one of the mentioned maps above (for example).
