So, I received a defective Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar with raw finish from the "Your Watch. Your Way" option. Out of the box, I had a mushy back (bottom right) button that wasn't clicky and intermittently did not register presses. Even more interesting, the bottom left of the screen doesn't respond to touch... what a bummer.
So, I contacted Garmin for a replacement and was told I could not get the same watch, but would receive a carbon with DLC version. I said no, I would like the same watch. Mind you, you cannot return these watches. I had also ordered a raw titanium band. I wanted the watch to match the band... cost a small fortune for both items. The rep said that I couldn't have a replacement. I said fine, I will dispute the charge since I was given something that wasn't as advertised. The rep said they would see what other options I had. Garmin reps are still looking into the issue for me to provide me options. Online it appears I was able to setup a return and I'll see if it actually goes through or not.
Just be aware that if your watch ever takes a dump on you (needs a warranty claim within the year), you cannot get the same one you had a custom order on.
Has anyone else had similar issues as this?
