Tactix 7-Won't Save Favorite Airport for Aviation Weather Widget

Had a ticket in with Garmin for days, only to be told I need to go to Aviation product support for my Tactix 7!

Connect and T7 are updated to latest version. The T7 is touted as having aviation weather in its marketing. In Connect under Aviation settings I've changed airport to favorite location (KFTW in Fort Worth, TX). But the widget only shows KOJC (Olathe KS). I see no way to change this, and Garmin watches support was unable to assist.

Now I've called aviation support for the 3rd time at 866.739.5687. This time the estimated hold time is 50 mins. It has been as long or longer before, and I can't hold. Although an "aviation" feature, why does watch support have no ability to learn and assist with this issue? Why do I think when I finally get past hold to an "aviation technician" they won't have a clue how to support me?

I am sorry you are having an issue. All Aviation features are supported by Aviation Product Support.

I also contacted Aviation Support regarding NEXRAD. No answer until now. There are 2 weeks since I submited my query

Maybe try this when you are at the aviation weather widget in glance mode: long press menu button, options for aviation weather and enter your station manually.

Even I manually set the station, in aviation weather widget, the TAF weather is displayed for another airport. The METAR data is for the correct airport

Im not an aviation expert, but as far as i know, not all airports support TAF, maybe it just picks the nearest airport to your location that supports TAF.

I find it strange that there is no explanation of this in the manual or how it is integrated in the watch.

On the airport web site I can see TAF information, also METAR information

Have the same problem on Garmin Tactix 7. I have no idea how to get NEXRAD to show my favorite airport.. Seems like the KOJC is hardcoded there or something =D

Found the place where you can change it!! At glance, scroll to aviation weather. Don't go in to it, instead LONG-press UP-MENU button wile on it, and there you will find "Aviation Weather Options".

It sounds like you don't have the "Always allow connection" option to your Phone option turned on for the Garmin Connect app. If you have the "Only while using the app" selected, that feature won't work.
