Touch to enter Activity and apps

I fear this is a stupid question and it is an obvious way to do this that I have not been able to find (I have even searched the forum).

On my 7X - is there some way to enter the activities only by touch? Normally I would click the start/stop button to enter.

And also - how to enter the Apps menu using only touch? Normally accessed by clicking the top left button.

Is this not possible to do by touch only or is it me that is useless?

No, you are not useless.

To my knowledge, you can't enter the Activities or Apps menus using touch only. You must use the Start/Stop button and/or a long press of the light button (Top left) to activate the respective menus

Thanks! That should be fixed somehow, I think! Sideway swipes on home screen should be implemented for those features. It should be possible to operate the watch more or less touch only like other smartwatches now that we have touch supported OS.

I'll second that. There should be an option for launching activity using only touch. I don't feel very comfortable pressing buttons while underwater or covered in mud.

Underwater and covered in mud your touchscreen will do all that automatically, that's usecase where you don't want touch.

I would think you'd already have started an activity before you were underwater or covered in mud, no?

And I agree with KrapfenKringel, underwater and being covered in mud are precisely the two use cases when you should probably not have the touchscreen turned on at all.

OK, fair, bad wording. I've meant wet or dirty. I assume there is some kind of membrane which is under stress while using buttons and it being wet doesn't help much. But then again, this might be my personal problem because I'm always overly obsessed with such things concerning my toys.
