Apple podcasts download on Express but not to watch

I have used Express to try to download podcasts to my Fenix 7. Express page says that they are downloaded to watch but watch playback queue lists 0 podcasts. I cannot find podcasts on the watch.

Grateful for advice.

Try one of the podcast CIQ apps that manage the podcast subscriptions and sync directly on the watch:

Podcasts
Runcasts
MyPodcasts

Thanks Brian. I tried Podcasts and Runcasts but found them unusable due to poor interfaces and wifi/sync issues.

I'd be very grateful to hear of any way of using Garmin Express to download podcasts with a cable.

I didn't have too many problems - I don't think - downloading the podcasts to my watch via USB. I have a problem getting the watch to play them - it kept repeating the same one over and over so stopped for now. I don't use wifi and can't comment on that.
