Feature request: Swipe left and right from the main screen

I also wondered why this shortcut feature was not implemented. It would be very useful, and easy to implement.

This would be a nice place to put 2 fullscreen widget/apps of the users choice.

No, I don't know if it is easy or difficult or even impossible.

But as a developer it annoys me very much when people assume it is easy. When users say that to me, about software I develop in our company, I give them the keyboard and say: go ahead!
As long as you don't know the software you cannot say that it is easy to develop. That is utterly crazy.

Being a developer does not mean anything. There are a whole bunch of bad developers out there who find everything difficult.

This shortcut function is very easy to implement, even more so when you take into consideration that the code for it already exists - Vivoactive 4 has such a shortcut (although only on one side for some reason). 

To put opinions aside, swipe shortcuts are much easier to use than 2-buttons pressed shortcuts, so they would be good feature. I fully support OP for recognizing that.

Exactly​, I was just going to say that. That VA4 has that feature. And because such code exists, and Fenix already has shortcut, only what is needed is to add part of the code from VA to Fenix.

Thank you for reminding me not use use social media and forums like this. Too many....ok, let me the better person and not comment like my first reaction would be.

Last comment I will ever make here and I write it as a developer whom has developed for many years and, mind me saying it myself, I am pretty good at it; If you don't know the source code, you cannot say anything on how difficult it is on changes/features you would have like to be implemented.
That has nothing to do about bad or good programmer, but anything to do about the code stack. But if you cannot understand this, you are not a programmer or only programmed a 'hello world'.

Your opinion is subjective and not related to the main point - code already exists, it is a matter of application, not difficulty of implementation.
