I cannot receive text messages on my 7X Sapphire Solar. I checked all of my notification settings and they are correct. Settings are correct in Garmin Connect App. Any help?

This is the long press method:

1- Tap and hold the icon.  After about a second, the popup menu shows.  If you hold too long, it disappears.  2- Once it pops up, tap the "i".  Then tap "permissions".   Make sure SMS is listed under allowed.  If it is in not allowed, just tap on it and select "allow".

I only have notifications - and all those are set to allow. I have nothing specific relating to SMS in iOS.

GO to settings on ypu iPhone > Notifications > Messages and there set up your notifications.

Can you confirm that you have tried what I posted earlier? This was the reason I could not get texts. "Make sure that the iPhone shows the text on the lock screen. (notifications/messages/show previews - always) That is the method Garmin can read the contents of the message. "

Apologies.  I thought you were the original poster who said they had a Galaxy S10+.  Did not notice the different username.

Ahhh it was the show previews. I’ve had that off from the start. I switched them back on and got normal SMS. Thanks!

This worked for me. Fenix 7x Pro Saphire Solar. iPhone 13 Pro. Text notification was not showing up on the watch. Changed text notifications to include preview and instantly worked.

This worked for me, I checked everything and nothing would get my texts pushed over to my Fenix 7 Pro. Turns out they won’t push to watch unless preview of texts are on Always.

I have a pixel 9 Pro and my Fenix 7x pro receives all notifications except text messages. All permissions are wide open. Technically, I can open the notification tab within the watch and see my text message, but it never vibrates or pops up on my watch. How do I fix this?
