Best Watch face?

I know what I am asking is very subjective/personel, but I am just wondering what watch face people use. I am still trying to find a suitable watch face.

I saw a co-worker wearing a fenix 7x and he had a nice watch face (MARQ Adventurer MB). Now I am wondering; what else cool watch faces are there? Also, does it drain the battery?

Right now I have tried:

- Data Lover
- ASAP

I use the latter right now due to the fact that I don't know if Data Lover drains the battery or not.
What do you use?

  • Thanks! I've seen it and completely skipped it. Not my type. I'm very weird in this regard. I don't accept such time format. For me it must be 4 digits in one line. I'm used to the military format but don't mind the colon between hh and mm. Not gonna like am/pm and need a 24h format though with a leading zero Slight smile where needed.

And for me watch face should have as much info, as remains easily visible and still looking decent at a distance. Since I don't like OLEDs and many colors on the watch (I'm against any distractions - I want to see the stuff on the screen when I want to check it and not whenever bright, colorful content is displayed, updated etc. like on a banner for ads). For this reason I really like MIP displays. They don't distract me unless a configured notification (not all apps / types enabled for the watch) arrives and vibrates then.

So yes, a bit tough choice when you expect a watch face that is clear, easy to read but not using many colors despite having lots of data and maintaining an acceptable, city / office / meetings look. Hence I switch between watch faces. I like the weird ones out in the field but in the city I tend to use the stock one (mainly thanks to touch shortcuts) and Phoenix V2 that is a very close match with more fields and awesome seconds on gesture, as well as a pressure graph (for which with the stock watch face I need to use the touch shortcut if the trend arrow doesn't satisfy me). I keep weather data, pressure etc. all available at a glance, during city days I do not need to go into any menus, no pressing buttons, no touching screen. Just looking at the watch and seeing what I like. I check more on the phone, if needed. If only alarm management would finally by sorted in the app, as it is in most models. If Garmin won't bring it back for Fenix 8, I'll drop the brand until it's fixed. And yes, I need to see on the watch face if an alarm is enabled or not. Not necessarily see the time it's set for (for that I often keep the sleep watch face).

  • All of new generation of ManuelB:

Since the impossibility of having shortcuts to widgets from touchscreen always has been a drawback for CIQ watchfaces compared to stock faces I dedicate this breakthrough an extra post:

THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

ManuelB did it. It's called  "Hold to launch complications" and obviously works with all his new generation WFs in Version 6.0.

I just got 6 updates via CIQ and that's what I found. Couldn't believe it first, but yes. Another first after the possibility to be fully configured from device w/o CIQ but have touch links.
As a topping - color shemes can be switched by just pressing into the center of the WF now. I stand in awe - as one can tell by reading this.

    Manuel: great job.

  • Hi, what is that watch face? I have a Fenix 6x and at least the ones that come by default are not

  • My current daily use watch face is the Pro Treks Tide.

It makes me feel like i am wearing a ordinary watch.

  • Thanks for the tip, this is almost as good looking as the original Grin

  • yeah, it looks good! hopefully the author can improve the data window and the battery gauge for showing more details.

  • I've tried several watch faces on my Fenix 7x SS and have found the 'Oaky Digital New' to be the most useful for my needs.

  • I hate that the stock faces don't show total distance for the day like 3rd party faces do. I like to see what I've covered in total, both steps and run/walk etc. Annoying!

  • this one looks simple, clean and cool!
