Best Watch face?

I know what I am asking is very subjective/personel, but I am just wondering what watch face people use. I am still trying to find a suitable watch face.

I saw a co-worker wearing a fenix 7x and he had a nice watch face (MARQ Adventurer MB). Now I am wondering; what else cool watch faces are there? Also, does it drain the battery?

Right now I have tried:

- Data Lover
- ASAP

I use the latter right now due to the fact that I don't know if Data Lover drains the battery or not.
What do you use?

  • Hi, i’m just a starter and found this watchface in my Fenix 7X. The one thing I Cannot seem to find is how to modify this. Especialy the symbols snoven and understudy the time.

  • Light&Dark von bine8x8!

Very cool design and energy save mode.

Would like to show a picture, but don‘t know, how to get a photo posted here.

  • As of now the Garmin MARQ Gen2 series does not include a successor to the MARQ Driver.
This watch face represents what I imagine what a MARQ Driver Gen2 would look like.
I hope you like the design as much as I do.

It is named MARQ Driver1.5 MB

The Only acceptable Watch Face on the round fenix with Transreflective display is white & analog!

  • As of now the Garmin MARQ Gen2 series does not include a successor to the MARQ Commander.
This watch face represents what I imagine what a MARQ Commander Gen2 would look like.
I hope you like the design as much as I do.

  • As for the Commander Manuel B. introduced even bicoolured icons. Looks very sophisticated.

Most of ManuelB WFs are optically based on different Garmin devices orginal WFs which I find great. If you own a Tactix for a reason but like D2 Mach1 WF - there it is. And with way more possibilities to customize - you just have every metric available for your Garmin and can put them wherever you want on the face. There are no restrictions like with the stock faces where you might e.g. not be able to have SpOx on some stock faces even if your watch is able to provide them  them in general.

What I like most - owning 9 of the MBs so far (no, we are neither relateted or even personally known to each other ;-))

    - you can customize the WFs right on the device like stock faces but with more options - this IS unique (refering to this user bickering about Manuels wording "pretty unique", which is an expression of modesty in the language area we life in more then an expression of actual doubt) and I like it.

    - you can even put in another metric instead of a description of a metric. Means: If the normal display would say HR 82 you can replace the description by the metric SpOx showing then 98% instead of HR so " 98% 82" or whatever combination makes sense to you like e.g. daily (Descriptor) and weekly (Data) active minutes.

This makes the best (imho) WFs from MB the most data rich WFs out there, with the arc I use for stress always and the triangles I counted 23 metrics on the commander which even tops the Digital for TactixD which I like very much too for its most flexible way to customize sizes positions...

    - up to 4 graphs on one WF? No problem, 7 progresses neither. I like that.

    - most WFs are anmiated on gesture. Do you need that? No of course not. But it makes me smile every time since it looks cool and sophisticated

    - fading hands on gesture: the data you are looking for is always under one of the hands. Casio had a hot key to let hands move out of the way on their analogues with data display here hands are fading. ;-)

If I sound ethusiastic - well I am.

As for battery consumption: with the big battery anyway and all sensors on always I don't feel a real difference between non CIQ-Faces and - at the moment - 13 installed WFs, 9 of them from MB. Differences caused by different daily GNSS-Usage are way larger. And I had to test the direct difference back to back between no CIQ-WFs and the full slap b/o a bad bug with GNSS - some factory resets in between. Btw. this is true for all CIQ faces I tested so far and might be a different experience if you have a smaller Garmin (battery!!!) or use it more accu aware with not everything turned on always (Backlight, SPOx, ...)

Good thing too: if you want just a really near to orignal clone of a Tac7Pro, Pro Ballistic, D2 Mach1... you can just swicht of the additional options and there it is.

When my really nostalgic moments arise though and I miss my TacDelta I 'll turn on SHN A_TcxD also near to the orignal and also way more customizable with graphs and way more metrics than original.

  • It looks great, for sure and thanks for sharing. Only issue is to share so much information....

This app requires access to: GPS location,
Heart rate, barometer, temperature and altitude history
    Your Garmin Connect fitness profile
In fact, the developer is a total stranger to you. I mean it well but doubt I want to share it. With a company like Garmin it's a different story. But you have to be careful there too.
