Touch Screen Issues

I have touch screen active during activity and Ive noticed on a few runs that when I look at the watch, the edit data screen is enabled or a few times I noticed 2-3 fields have changed. I am not 100% sure what is causing this...my quesses are sweat hitting the screen or my jacket. Anyone else have this happen?

Today it happened in an indoor ride. Just a drop of sweat triggered a change of field.

I like the touch screen to scroll pages but I think that field editing should be locked during activities for touching…

With touch screen active during an activity anything can cause the screen to move away from what you want. Possibly your jacket rather than sweat. Is it a long sleeved jacket with the sleeve near your watch? Best option is to have touch screen disabled during activities where accidental touches might occur.

I had it on a hike with my jacket...

If you press and hold the data field it edit's the layout so whatever is causing the press (possibly clothes with sweat) is causing the watch to think you are editing the fields. Switch off touch or ensure watch face isn't covered.

Yes, the touch screen will respond to any fabric with just a tiny bit of moist. Unfortunately the only solution is to disable the touch screen during activity. I added a feature request to add an unlocking touch feature (like a quick double click on the same spot or pattern) which would enable touch screen and then disable it again after a period of inactivity.

I have disabled it. I am interested in using it during trail running or races but not if this keeps happening.
