Fenix 7 Solar Sapphire mushy button

Got this one mushy Down button - when using several times, then the button it clicks kind of normal like the others.

But when button is not used for several ours it has a non-responsive, mushy flat feel with no haptic feedback.

Will this "wear in" over time?

Garmin would laugh at me when using the button several times and it clicks normal.

But annoys first thing in the morning or after longer breaks that such a not cheap watch has this anomaly.

Anyone?

Picked up my Solar Sapphire yesterday, had the same 2-step click feeling but far disappeared after a while. I also disabled haptic and button feedback btw.

I had two mushy buttons. Left it for a few weeks to no improvement. Got a replacement watch and all the buttons now have a satisfying click. Double click -> normal is typical. Mushy not so much if anything it got worse with time.

I am waiting for a replacement as the start/stop button has no click at all anymore. Meaning i have to visually verify if I really pressed the button, sometimes it has no function :-(

The others are more or less fine so far, local Garmin support says they already changed something in manufacturing. We can believe or not as lots of series have the button issue. Had that on several forerunner 935, 945 and Fenix 6 so far :-(

But it's much better on cheap watches, like forerunner 245

For those who applied the "oil drop" fix - does it make the click softer or more "clicky"?

For me, this made the buttons more 'clicky' but still a softer feeling overall when compared to my fenix 6
