Runs on the watch automatically deleted?

In March I went running 9 times so far.

As mentioned in another post, only 5 show up in the history widget.

When I check the running data on the watch with Adroid FIle Transfer, it shows only 5 runs on the watch instead of the 9 runs I ran!!

How is that possible?? Only the last 5 are kept on the watch??

Is the watch deleting runs automatically??

But I deleted unsynchronized activity..

Hope that Garmin will add confirmation of deleting in new FW.

Weird. I have all the activities still on the watch since my first run in January. My 30 day graph looks as expected and my overall history (main menu=>History) goes back to early November with my previous f6. I can't image you've run out of disk space.

Activities in activity history can be accidentally deleted just by swiping left. No confirm required! I just accidentally deleted unsynchronized activity... ️

Very bad behavior IMHO, sent email to beta team.

Really? Activity is deleted without prompt for deletion? That is a serious oversight in software.

Yes, really. Just try it yourself on already synced activity or start a activity for few seconds, save it. Long press middle button, history, activities and then swipe left and it's done! In temp folder of the watch I didn't find anything, maybe because of soft reset, because the watch can't connect to PC... So no success with undeleting..

When already synced, you can put them back by connecting the watch to your pc. You download the original files from Garmin Connect to your pc. Than you can transfer them from your pc back on to your watch (activity folder). Worked for me (via androidfiletransfer on my Mac).

I agree that confirmation before deletion is necessary.

Good spot. Tested and found the same behaviour. Clearly should not happen. Have you contacted Garmin Support?

I contacted them.

They couldn't find a reason why runs would disappear.

Then I mentioned that someone on the forum said that it was probably due to fact that in the history widget you can accidentaly delete runs by wiping to the left.

Then they said that this could actually be the reason.....

So actually, they had no clue...

Yep! This happened to me too on a multi day race! I’ve lost 2 of the 3 races run so have no data! I’m really annoyed! I bought the 7 Solar so I didn’t need to charge it for the event and here I am with a charged watch and no data to look at to see where I can improve! NOT OKAY GARMIN!
