Fenix 7x Saphire Solar screen

I compared a FR 745 with the Fenix 7 and only the standard model, also with Gorilla Glass DX, shows a comparable crispness and contrast of the display.

The Solar model’s display is way worse and the Solar Sapphire model is the worst by adding reflections and making every fingerprint visible.

If you can live with size and style of the standard model (and imo marginally reduced features) go for it. I did and don’t regret it :)

If bright screen was a requirement why didn't you buy an Epix?

The screen on the F7XSS is amazing.  It is great in bright sun and any other time you touch it or turn on the wrist gesture and it lights up just fine.  We absolutely do not want some apple watch or phone-like screen.  The battery would last 1 day instead of a month.   

I take it you haven’t heard of the Epix 2 then! 

What was the point of this post?

Display being more clear on base model is what made me buy that one instead of solar sapphire. Paying more for less clear display is a no go for me.
