Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar - Backlight Shadow

Could anyone confirm whether this backlight shadow exists on their watch as well? It is not visible straight on (only off to the side as shown in the picture) Support has offered to exchange the watch if I want, but they seemed adamant it was "normal" I would appreciate any feedback fellow owners could provide.

I just checked this with my F7SS. I can't see any shadow with a white background. Looks more like dirty glass in your picture, but you probably have cleaned that?

Yes, definitely cleaned it. Only appears on light backgrounds, with the backlight on (and only at an angle).

Take their advice and get the exchange. That is not normal.

No issues here. I'd return the unit and get a replacement.

Very normal for Garmins quality standards, but yes you should get an exchange if you insist.
