Watchface Time Freezes and the Alarm Does Not Go Off using Battery Saver

Ok, so this is kind of a big bummer.

I started using the F7X SS alarm setting, its set to wake me every weekday at 6:00.

Today it didn't go off.

i´ve heard about some issues alarm settings not showing up i GC and what not, that is the same for me too, but the alarm set on the watch has been working every day for weeks, and suddenly not.
So now i cant use the alarm since i don´t know if i will work.

Ok i´m going to say it, $1000 watch.. Slight smile

How do i report this?

  • This just happened to me this morning as well. My phone was off though, I'm wondering if it needs the Connect app to be on in order for the alarm to work? Doesn't seem like that should be required...

  • It does not, I never have it connected at night and so far it worked for me, but I don't need it on a daily basis.

  • It only happened to me once, not again. Probably it wont need connect app, it would be a strange solution, but you never know :)

  • Just saw the same behavior these days.

If I have setup an alarm for a time where sleep mode is still active, it won't go off.

Is the issue still under investigation or should it be resolved?

    Thanks Mark

  • I have this issue every day, but I'm starting to doubt if it's an issue at all from my end. I have my watch face set to Low Power mode and I've noticed that after some time the clock "freezes" and it's not until I press a button that it updates. Until this happens the alarm won't turn on because it's stuck on another time.

Not complaining since it's been 5 days and still says it has 10 days of battery on 7s + solar. v9.36

  • I use 3 different alarms: 1 daily for work, other weekly for Saturdays, other for Sundays.

So far I never had issues with any.

    More info:

Watch is never connected to phone.

It works either it's set to ring during sleep mode or not.

As someone above said, I'm guessing it may have to do with watch faces and power modes?...

  • In your Garmin Connect Mobile APP, please do the following:

    - Open your Connect Mobile APP

    - Select your Fenix 7 series watch at the top of your My Day page

    - Select Power Manager > Battery Saver > Edit > Display

    - If you have it set for "Time Out", the setting only applies to the AMOLED Epix 2 series.

    - If so, change it to "Always On"
