What do I have to do if I don't want to use GLONASS anymore? Ideally, all other satellites are still active and multiband works too. From what I see I think I can
- use only GPS
- use all satellites
- use all satellites plus multiband
For me, I'd like to have
- use all satellites but GLONASS plus multiband
Is this possible?
you don't have the choice. The watch chooses which satellite constellations to use.
Indeed you cannot turn off GLONASS in "all systems" mode, the only way to avoid using it would be to use GPS-only.

Given current events, I think it's solidarity over functionality.

At first I thought, "What makes you so sure that removing GLONASS will make it work better?" And then I remembered who runs GLONASS, and realized why you may want to quit using it 
FWIW, if for whatever reason the GLONASS signals are substantially different from what the other constellations are saying, the watch should just ignore them
