Garmin Pay doesn't remember PIN code for 24h

I've used Garmin Pay (debit card) on my Fenix 6 for a long time and I love it.

Until now, I had do enter the PIN every 24 hours OR when I took the watch from my wrist.

I have a Fenix 7X for three days now and it seems that I have to enter the PIN code every few minutes. It's far away from the 24 hours that I'm used to and that Wallet is mentioning.

I understand the watch uses the heart rate to make sure I still have the watch on my wrist so I've checked the heart rate history and it looks fine -no gaps in the graph.

So I'm wondering, why isn't my Fenix 7X remembering the code for 24 hours as it should?

Anyone else has the same issue? If it's a firmware update I'm waiting for, no problem, I just want to make sure that it's not a faulty unit that I need to return.

Danke für die Antwort, das deutet dann eher auf ein nötiges Firmwareupdate hin.
Wäre okay, dann brauch' ich zumindest den Kauf nicht rückabwickeln :D

Usually this is because the watch thinks that it was removed from your wrist. Maybe try wearing it tighter. This is a security feature

no it is not a security feature, same story for me.

Same band used, same condition, same size (7x vs 6x), it was working perfectly in the past, and EVEN with the tightest fit you can humanly have to not restrict blood flow, it's asking for the pin after a few minutes. Before I never had to check or think about it.

My wife 7s (vs 6s before), is not having this problem at all.

And that's good. What problem to give the pin on the touch screen ? I will even ask that the pin be required every time!

For me it's 24 hours unlocked and indeed need to put in the pin when is of my wrist.

Well, I rather enter the PIN in private before entering the shop instead of entering it at a crowded checkout where someone might see it.

Also, I rather have my debit card ready for payment instead of suddenly "forgetting" the PIN due to the haste.

That is why I enter the pin in the morning and the rest of the day I can hit the shortcut button to enter the wallet without the need to entering the pin.

I have the same problem with my EPIX gen 2 (same software as Fenix 7)
