Copied apps limit?

Hi folks..

I have 13 copied apps on my Fenix 6x Sapphire BLK DLC for different map configurations.. reason is I have 13 added maps of my country and like to have them on copied hike apps for ease of use....(a recent update added more sports profiles so unfortunately less copies can be added as a result, although it didn't effect me as I had already added them before the update, I didn't receive any new sports profiles like eBike etc as a result though ...)

My question is, can I add at least 13 copied apps on the Fenix 7 range, or how many have you added?.. thank you...

Sorry I don't have the answer.
I wanted to understand your use. You use 13 cards from the same region and instead of deactivating the one you want you made 13 activities, right?
You have 13 styles of cards for your region? Could you give the list? I created my own map and now finding other maps can help me to improve my map.

How many files are in your folder: gamin/sports?
What firmware do you have on your fenix 6?

Yes that's correct, I have transparent contours, and a modified transparent trail map, satalite imagery, and loads of OSM maps, and made a copy of navigation for car Sat navigation, and made copies for non routable or no datafields depending on layers added etc... etc not just hiking..I prefer to just enter the map I want rather than always going through settings to change maps and layers.

Hi... Firmware 20.30 now...

64 garmin apps including copies..

Hmm, not that we misunderstand each other. there are no apps in the garmin/sports folder, only profiles.

profiles are in the folder garmin/sports with the ending *.fit
apps are in the folder garmin/apps with the ending *.prg

Normally there should be no limit on fenix 6 for copied activity profiles. And certainly not only 13.
Depending on the software version, you should be able to have all original sport profiles on the watch without restrictions and also make copies of them and create your own.
As of 20.30 alone, there are 57 default profiles. 64-13 copies is 51. So there are a few missing.

I had the problem with the fenix 6, I had too much activity that was a copy of trail or race and so it did not install the new profile. I did a reset and I realized that I could only make 4 copies of races after I had an error message.

Yes, exactly.
Most other user reach their limit at 60.
57 standard profiles + maximum 3 copies.

Ah OK thank you.... I'm going back home later today, I'll plug it in then and see what I've got in there and get back to you thanks.

I certainly don't have any new apps offered, no pickle ball, eBike, etc etc... because of my copies.

Yes it's not good that the new apps will now clog up the watch, so one can't add any more than four copied apps...

That was my case anyway, now I can't make a copy. I had to delete some Garmin profiles to make my copies again.
