Sync HRV measurements to Apple Health

I wonder why Garmin Connect doesn’t sync HRV measurements to Apple Health. I hope that they will add this functionality, because it makes it easier to track it over time and to use the values in other apps. Other metrics are already synced to Apple Health, so it’s just a minor addition.

You’re missing the point. Garmin already syncs a number of metrics to Apple Health, 17 in total. That makes sense, because people can have a scale from Withings, a watch from Garmin and a blood pressure…

Why world Garmin want to provide better metrics than Apple has to Apple? That makes no sense, Apple doesn't even recognize HRV as a serious metric. Just read their HRV disclaimer, make Apple provide their own real 24/7 HRV.

You live in the Garmin eco-system now, get rid of that toy Apple crap.

@PeterW That is not the point. Apple has a something know as health kit. it is information exchange / repository that allows information to be exchanges between your apps and devices. Your phone does not record your heart rate or weight (i don't recommend standing on it) . But app like myfitnespal etc, can pick up these values from there if Garmin software puts them there.

That makes sense, because people can have a scale from Withings, a watch from Garmin and a blood pressure monitor from some other company. Apple Health is a place where you can access all the data in one place and where apps can read each other’s data. So the request is to add HRV as the 18th Garmin metric to sync to Apple Health, on top of the 17 others that are already being synced.
