Reboot in Trail Run while Navigation is running and Eleveation Plot is set On (7.24)

Hi,

my Fenix 7X Sapphire with v7.24 software is always rebooting in the following case

- using Trail Run (happens only with Trail Run)

- using Navigation

- in the Navigation menu / Data Screens / Elevation Plot is On (if this is off, this also doesn't happen)

- changing/scrolling the screens (either right after the first change/scroll or after scrolled over all the data screens, but it results a reboot)

Even don't have to start the activity at all, just sitting at home Trail Run / Navigation / Courses / Do Course / scrolling the data screens -> reboot (if Elevation Plot is On)

Of course this happened today during the run outside and ened up with rebooting eight times.

Since that Eleveation Plot is a useful screen while navigating on the track, a fix is needed!

This is the key setting which causes or avoids the reboot in Trail Run while navigating.

This shows that Garmin has no beta testers who are trail runners. These settings are so basic for any trail runner. Problems like these should be found way before the firmware is released. Either Garmin doesn't test well enough it it doesn't care.

Does Garmin have beta testers at all or it just relies on users to find all the issues? It seems that the latter is the answer.

Can not see the same behavior on my f7x ss wit 7.24. Elevation plot is on - choose trail run - choose a track - start track and without starting the activity I can scroll in both direction through the data fields. The only difference is that I’m on German language. Maybe it’s an incompatible ciq data field?

Same thing happened to me yesterday while navigating a course during a hike, I took a look at the elevation plot screen and my Fenix rebooted.

First of all thanks for trying! Unfortunaletly this doesn't change the behavior of my watch, I still can reproduce this reboot as many times as I 'want'. (There's only one ciq data field amongst the screens, which is Stryd and I have it in all other apps as well and using is for years now without causing any problem.)

In the meantime I tried also with German language, but unfortunately with the same result.

The strange thing is, that it works perfect on my watch in Hike mode, the only affected one with this bug is Trail Run.

I'm having the same issue but with my fenix 5. I've had it for four years and not used it much in navigation mode. Now that I'm putting courses on for hikes, it's rebooting several hours into a hike and, yes, there is the elevation plot screen involved! Interestingly I can't get it to happen "on demand".

Any update on this one? This is also frequently happening to me in "Bike" mode. Very disappointing.

Finally I fixed it with a hard reset, since I asked some of friends to check this on their watches, but they couldn't reproduce this issue there. So I made a hard resed, and it solved it.
