Hello, what bluetooth version does F7 line have? I consider buying, and wouldnt like to see ancient 4.x version.
Is this written in the specs somewhere? I didnt find it on the garmin.com website.
Thanks for any tips.

I have the same question.
Also I'd like to know if Bluetooth LE Audio with LC3 codec is or will be supported.
Bluetooth chip inside the watch supports 5.0 but don't know how it's utilised.
Bluetooth LE Audio is optional part of BT 5.2 and brings better audio quality with lower battery consumption (both player and headphones must support it though).
So I was wondering if etting LE audio compatible headphones could improve battery when running with headphones with Fenix 7.
Hi members!
I would like to ask
Garmin Fenix 7X :
- what version is Bluetooth
- does it support bluetooth LE
- does it aupport aptX audio codec
Thank you, Markus

only partial answers : no aptx, it would be too power hungry, bluetooth LE is here yes
is Bluetooth technology based on 5.0 ? or higher?
it's a very important information and isn't mentioned in specification
it's at least bluetooth 4 (ie, ble handled), but can't tell if it's higher.
Just as a matter of understanding, what bluetooth 5 would bring to you ? I'm not getting the point of the question :
- energy saving ? won't change anything, as the duration of the watch is what it is
- supported devices ? bluetooth 5 devices does support connection from a bluetooth 4 device
so I'm not seeing, as a consumer, or as a developper, what it would bring in this specific use case, did I missed an obvious point ? just curious to know
BT 5 has much better range of connectivity and also stability. I have Samsung S21Ultra and Garmin stands for aprox 10-12 meters away from phone. With clear view. But Galaxy Watch stands along for 25m (my whole garden). Same experiance in buildings.
thanks for sharing, anyway, What I'm puzzled with, what thing would you connect your watch, and taking farther than one meter actually ? what kind of device would require this that connect to the watch ? Aren't all the sensors close to you when doing sports ?
do you have some very specific fitness devices in minds ?
