Insufficient memory to WiFi sync?

Love my new fenix 7sss - the only hiccup so far is when I try to do a wifi sync it says there is “insufficient memory on this device” and fails. I haven’t really put anything on the watch yet (no music etc) and the connect iq app tells me I have 19Mb of space. Any ideas??

Hey, the same problem here.

But when you activate sync on the phone (Garmin Connect), it syncs normal....

Hello I have managed to fix this problem on mine by connecting the watch to my computer and updating the watch via Garmin Express. All good now!

haymck: thanks for answering..... what is the firmware version now on your watch?

Now, after the upgrade, does the wifi sync work?

Yes WiFi sync fine now.
it says software version 7.20

haymck: thank you for the tip with Garmin-Express,... didn't cross my mind, since I user Linux, where it is not available.

Now I installed it on my work computer, once I connected the watch to the PC -> Garmin Express, new firmware was available (7.24), and since then all good, WiFi sync works...
