Do the maps look any better or more readable on a 7X over a 6X?

I’m on the Fenix 7x SS and find the maps and screen just as easy to read as my previous fenix watches (5X, 5+, and 6x). Fenix 7x has the same number of pixels as the 6x. No better no worse.

On the 7X the contrast of the display is not as good as on the 6X due to more reflecting screen. Its well documented by many photos. So readability should be not as good as on a 6X

Is this true on non-Sapphire versions, I wonder ? There are very few pictures on non-Sapphire to draw a conclusion, from what I have researched.

Do you have firsthand experience or are you just parroting someone else's post? I ask because I have a F7 Solar Pro and am quite happy with the clarity of the maps. And my eyes are 65 years old.

Is it any better than the F6 Sol Pro? I never had any problems there either so IMVHO I'd say no there are no problems with map visibility.

Sorry but...the fact that one person "is quite happy" or "never had any problems" with one model is not really useful as a comparison between two models that the original poster asks for.

So, just take the word of the one person who says "it's well documented" (where?) that the 7X is worse? I see no difference at all either.

Sorry, but I find the reflection-readability-issue on this forum to be exaggerated.
If there is reflection making the screen less readible, I just turn my wrist… problem solved!

I put my iphone next to the 7x in reflective conditions. And they were equally readible…
